Since the new Evernote (at least 10.3+), Skitch and annotations are broken (at least on macOS 10.14+) as follows: Can no longer control the width of an annotation text block (the old box handles for controlling text box width as just not there) Skitch continuously forgets your settings. Say if you choose a colour or a line weight for a rectangle, the very next time you draw a rectangle it has reset those to some random defaults (eg magenta colour and mid-weight line).
