I found a fix for me: When I use my slow computer with only 4 cores, I notice when high CPU usage goes up because my fan gets loud when I'm inside my massive note with lots of spelling errors (mostly false positive tech lingo stuff), but if I go to tools, preferences, and uncheck "check spelling while typing" my CPU usage goes from around 35% while I'm inside the note, to almost no usage, so for me I feel the issue is that evernote is in some kind of spell checking loop that my slower machine can't keep up too easily?
