One additional factor that Evernote might consider in changing its viewpoint is the fact that Microsoft is terminating its support of Windows XP. I am a long time user of Evernote, with clients installed on 2 Windows 7 computers and 5 Android devices. I have recently converted several computers to Ubuntu 13.10 and find it to be a very satisfactory replacement for XP on those low end machines. My guess is that there are many savvy XP refugees (XPatriates?) who will be performing the same conversion. Many of us would like to see a linux EN client.
