It would be helpful to have character and/or word counts at the bottom, similar to in Word, even for selections of text. Sometimes I write copy in a Note and need to keep it within a character or word limit. There may be shortcuts on my Mac, I've heard, but they don't appear to work in Evernote, and I don't want to have to download other add-ons or software. And pasting in Word is a time-consuming extra step that seems unnecessary.
