  1. Will we be notified when an employee accesses our data for Evernote's use? Upon request, can Evernote supply an audit of what data was accessed, when it was accessed, why it was accessed, and who accessed it? Like many here, I'm a long time paid user. I have a lot of information in my Evernote account, which its not appropriate for people to see. With the recent news about inappropriate use of user data by Uber employees, you would think Evernote would overcommunicate this change, rather than undercommunicate it. The only reason I am here is because of the deserved uproar in the tech press. With a former Google exec at the helm, its not surprising that we are becoming the product, instead of the customer.
  2. This change is long overdue. I've always been surprised that Evernote ran their own servers. Fingers crossed that the transition is as smooth as you've planned and that this allows you to grow into the company you want to be in a more cost effective manner.
  3. I'm getting unable to save clip.Clipper version 6.8 (f50be2d/1.1.0.926) in Chrome 50.0.2661.75 on Windows 7. One thing I noticed is there isn't an option to change what Notebook to save the clip to. 4. I finally figured out that Evernote on my iPad was failing on sync because of notes in my trash!! I emptied my trash, and things have been syncing ok for a week or two (knock wood). This is really unacceptable.
  5. It was doing better for me, but has gotten bad again. Now I get an error that says "Synchronization failed. Unexpected errors occurred while sychronizing with the Evernote service." When I click on View Details it says "Description: Unexpected NSURLResponse type: (null) Reason: Could not sync note 'note title'. Description: Synchronization failed." Then I get another pop-up which says "Synchronization failed. Synchronization failed because of an error communicating with the Evernote servers. Please try again later." There's a huge issue. Every time it fails (at least I think every time), I get another copy of the note. In the webUI and on the iPad, all the copies appear to have the audio. I haven't listened to it to see if its complete (its 2 hours.)
  6. I was just able to synchronize a note from my iPad with a 5.5 MB audio clip in it. I'm not saying its fixed 100%, but this is at least an improvement.
  7. I'm also still having the issue. I opened support ticket 16051-214015 on Jan 04. Rick
  8. This thread has focused on images, but I assume it is any large note. My main use case that is failing is audio on iPad. Would the load balancer problem also affect syncing notes with audio? Any update on the progress? Thanks, Rick
  9. Thanks Dave. I used to have my Evernote files in a TrueCrypt drive, but my employer came out with a no company approved encryption policy. I'm going to experiment with having my DB on a flash drive and see how well it works.
  10. I have an Evernote challenge that I'm hoping is reasonably easily solved. I have two Evernote accounts. One has personal notes in it. I use it on my personal MacBook, and on my Windows Mobile phone. My second one has work notes in it. I use it only on my employers computer. My personal account has information in it that my employer doesn't need to know, and of course they have full control of my work PC, including backups which are completely out of my control. Using two accounts has worked reasonably well. I occasionally capture work related information on my phone, which goes into my personal account, but it's pretty easy to get it into my work account. One of the Windows features I make use of is the Outlook integration. Enter the iPad. This is a device I've been waiting for. I used to have a Windows Tablet PC, and found it to be close to perfect in user interaction, but the size and battery life made it a lot less useful. I'm excited that Evernote has already said they will update their iPhone client to take advantage of the new features in the iPad. But now I have a challenge. I can see tons of work related uses for Evernote on the iPad, and of course personal uses as well. I assume that the iPhone/iPad client doesn't/won't have a good way to sync with two accounts. I'm happy to merge my two accounts, assuming I can remove all my personal data from my work computer. I know the portable version is gone with 3.5, but I see I can still specify the location for the local files. Can I set that to be on a flash drive? Can Evernote still start at startup, or will that cause problems? And will the browser and Outlook integration work? Assuming I allow Evernote to save my password for syncing, where does that happen, in a file next to the DB or somewhere in the registry? Thanks in advance for your responses. Keep up the good work Evernote, I love your product. Rick
  11. I'd love to see this as well. Or at least the ability to copy/duplicate a note.
  12. My Evernote has become a complete mess, and I'm working on a new organization scheme (more tags less notebooks.) I'm about to embark on an effort to retag almost every note in my account, and move most of them as well. I'm wondering how this will affect my monthly bandwidth. Will moving a note be like creating a new note and deleting the old one, or is it more bandwidth efficient than that? What about adding tags? Does that reload the entire note, or just the new tags? Thanks. P.S. I love Evernote, especially with the new Windows Mobile client.
  13. Bummer. How can we request enhancements/new features? Thanks, Rick
  14. Unfortunately, I'm at home on my Mac, which doesn't have the same textual search syntax, so I haven't been able to test it. I'll test it tomorrow when I'm back at the office.
  15. I have a notebook for archived noted. I'd like to exclude this notebook from several of my saved searches. Is this possible? If so, what would the syntax be? If not, could I get this added to the feature request list? Thanks, Rick
