  1. @ csihilling - My new drive was a Samsung Evo 840, and yes I used the manufacturer's clone software. Seemed to work just fine, including NOT having to re-authorize Windows 8. . . Evenote has been the only problem I've encoundered so far.
  2. OK. . I found my old drive and copied the entire Database foder: C:\Users\_USERNAME_\AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote from the original to the new drive. I actually renamed the exiting Database folder. .. I think the registry cleanup from Revo, did the trick, and the old database was found completely. Sync ran to conclusion and notes from the last few days were propagare. Thanks all. ..
  3. Revo Un-Installer did not work for me either; Did Moderate scan for registry cleanup.
  4. Thanks for the advice and the links!. . the SSD drive replaced a HD on a laptop. There is no other drive on the system. I've got a premium account I haven't activated yet, sounds like I'll have to report it after I activate.. thx
  5. Hi. .. I really need some help getting Evernote working. 1. I cloned my hard drive to an SSD 2. My machine runs fine, but Evernote for whatever reason hangs on sync during exit. 3. After Searching around, I found from several sources that the source was apparently the 'new' drive. 4. I've tried un-installing re-installing evernote; no sucess After re-install, Evernote runs for a while, tries to sync; Blows up at 500 notes (everytime). I get a popup box (3 at a time) : "Evernote.exe 5.6.4.4632 has encountered a problem and needs to close. . ." etc. After I re-start Evernote again, the same errors. Log Files - from 3 popu p windows (attached) exc52F.txt exc716.txt exc8BD.txt Anyone have any suggestions? Is there a registry cleanup or Evernote un-install program that I can run? Thanks. .. exc52F.txt exc716.txt exc8BD.txt
  6. I get a variety of email that I funnel to Evernote for future reference. Generally this involves, 1) forwarding something from my email inbox to evernote 2) when the note posts on Evernote, I tag it accordingly. I would like to be able to use 'pre-processor' commands so that the note when emailed to evernote (step 1), would eliminate the second step. Something like #tag:tag1 #tag:tag2 #notebook:DailyNotes sent in the 'forwarding text'. The '#' can work as a pre-processor command for evernote. . this would save me a great deal of time since I would not have to in go to Evernote to complete the posting. It would also save a lot of processing time on the Evernote servers, since I then don't have to go to evernote, open the note, tag it, move it to an appropriate notebook & then sync it.

  8. Don't know if anyone has proposed this already. When I forward, or send an email to evernote, I would like to be able to designate both the notebook it should go in and also the tags associated with it. Would require some html-like formatting for pre-processing. Example: At the begninning, of abody of text email going to evernote. To: abc@xyz cc: email@evernote.com Subject: Fwd: Today's stuff From: xyz@abc Notebook: Daily, Tags: daily, to-do, file Dear Joe, xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxx ------ end of email ------
  9. Sorry folks, but I can't get the WinXP version to move notes at all. I've read through all the threads, but what seems to work for others doesn't work for me. I've got the list view up. I highlight one and/or more notes. There is no drag & drop out of it. Am I missing something? This is a biggie, esp. for new users, who may or may not know how to organize what they have. I'll move them online for now. . .but any tips would help. OK. . I figured it out. HEADER refers to the top of the note/item itself NOT the title of the note in the list view. My bad. Awkward. . .and as someone else said, counter-intuitive. Need to be able to move notes from the list.
