I've had this issue for as long as I've used Evernote (i.e. 6+years), but I used to be able to copy from Evernote into Word and just choose to change Word's paragraph formatting to single space. Some new development has now made this not possible (I'm having to go through a 50-page document line by line to erase the extra line space) and it's changed some of the word formatting so that I no longer know what the text used to say (e.g. "<br> <br>" what does that mean?? Break? Changed text?). This is a complete pain in the you-know-what. Evernote is supposed to be convenient. But if it can't work with other programs like Word, it's fairly useless.
