How many people actually use the command line? Probably, a very small minority.

I don't have any issues with speed or sync.

Good luck trying other software. I've been there. I tried Zoho, upnote, Notesnook, obsidian, etc. Etc. Etc.

Upnote is the closest, but no OCR, mail in notes, and some other stuff.

Evernote simply works the best out of the bunch, even though others have features evernote does not.

Is it perfect...no! But there really isn't anything close to it. It just works.

v10 in comparison to legacy EN works like turtle and legacy has much reach functionality for me.

i do not care, that command line is used by a few!  I have bought EN premium with this feature, and I want this feature in en10.

for example you've bought a nice fast mercedes (legacy EN), but new company owner is trying to replace it with fat ugly bicycle (v10)

    for the price 1.7x - isn't ridiculous? isn't sounds like a fraud?

Thanks a lot for the list of alternatives!

Currently obsidian (probably my new mercedes) looks the best - very modular, very fast and flexible! And EN v10 is like a dead horse.

WE ARE ALL DEAD. EVERNOTE IS DEAD. NO REASON TO USE AN APP THAT WORKS LIKE A BROWSER.

they are probably crashing and we'll be probably forced to unreasonable prices soon. I have heard everybody is looking at NOTION, but it's different. probably by adequately configuring notion and doing some practice you'll have a more stable and reliable version for free. I'm now looking into it. there are clearly signs that evernote is closing support and moving to a cloud only service.

i've tried Notion, same en10 problems - fat and slow.
now i'm trying the Obsidian, it looks much much better, than Notion and EN10

Last week they seemed to have updated the top chrome of the window border on Windows and then rolled it back suddenly. Thing are really in flux right now, I think now that they made those backend migrations from the monolithic architecture last year this year they are focused on client side improvements.

Plenty of Electron apps are super fast, Discord and VSCode come to mind. Hopefully Evernote will get there.

I see that v10 will never be faster.

Looks like it has a very bad architecture.

I can't understand all these people still on legacy, complaining.  It hasn't been updated in how long?

because v10 is fat and extremely slow on windows and android.

it is impossible to control if note updated or not.

there is NO command line for v10 at all !

on android i had numerous v10 sync errors, which was invisible and I got a lot of unsynced and duplicated notes

v10 has lack of legacy features.

    so goodbye evernote premium!

i'm migrating to some other note taking software!

Well, wouldn't you know it. Kept browsing and found a location for older versions. Had to download several in order to find the newest one that supports my OS, but in the end it worked and all my notes are there. It would be nice if there were information somewhere about which version of Evernote is compatible with which OS, would have saved some downloading time.

  6. as for me ver.10 is totally not acceptable. it is so slow and incovenient!

    lots of features are absent.

300kb note with simple text was opened for at least 20 seconds, then i just kill the app and installed older version.

evernote started to spoil ex-great app starting 2018.

6.7.6 was super fast, faster 3-4 times than 2019-2020 versions.

so, it is very pity that developers are driving to the wrong direction.
