    Longtime premium user here. Having identical problem with Windows 10 desktop client. "Can't connect to server." HTTP request failed, code: 429. Cannot submit bug report on the website. Web access is fine, so is Android phone access. Using VPN, and then accessing desktop client is fine. Seems to be some authentication problem.
