I’d like to lock in an early renewal for evernote personal before the price increase. My subscription renews in January.

Is this possible, and if so, how do you do it?

The last I heard, Bending Spoons was still up in the air about whether they were going to do this. Contact billing support for this. This forum is user to user and not formal support.

I have now generated a shareable link from the web version. Updating the original note does lead to a change in the shared note as accessed through the shared link, although it does take a few minutes for the page to update. Perhaps this is a new feature. I wonder if  @Kimberly Purcell could comment as to why she believes it is a static capture of the note at the time the shared link is generated.

That’s always how it has been in the past. I will do some more testing if you are indeed saying that it will update.

    Thank you very much, Kimberly!

I just reinstalled the extension as you advised and if the first article I've tested it on is any indication - it has worked! I will write back here in case the problem resurfaces.

Meanwhile, I am in touch with the support team in case they might find clues that help others as well.

    Excellent - you're very welcome.

  4. The bottom line is one software will never be everything for everyone.

The word SHOULD is something I do my best to never say. By using the word should you're only going to frustrate yourself.
IT SHOULD! Yes, but it doesn't.

The majority of power users of tasks would go bonkers if each newly created task also created a new note. Tasks that don't live within a specific note are found in the default task note. There's no reason you can't create a note and add a task to it.

And while we're on the subject, no you can't add a tag to a task currently and it's not on the immediate road map.

  5. There were some updates to WC a little while back to add the TASKS feature and after that time many people have had to reinstall the extension and log-in fresh. I had to do it myself.

Try removing WC, doing a fresh install into your chrome browser and log-in again. See if that doesn't help.

If not, you'll need to enter a support ticket.

    Hi there,

I'm looking for a 2022 Monthly Calendar (starting Monday) template, but all I can find in the template list is the 2023 one. I'd be happy with November and December 2022, but I cannot find it anywhere.

This is the 2023 version: 2023 Monthly Calendar - starting Monday (evernote.com). Could anyone point me toward the right link? Thank you!

Go into the Gallery by creating a new note and then click OPEN GALLERY. In the search box, type 2022. You will get three different 2022 versions.

So, for the first time this morning on my iPhone I had no other devices active except the phone, I added some items to my Shopping list and it duplicated the note. I looked at both, and deleted the older one, and when I hit the back arrow, just like Steve it went to a black screen and I had to quit it. When I relaunched my original shopping list was there, but everything I just added was gone.

There was a fair amount of rolling maintenance this morning. You can still access mobile and desktop apps during that time but it doesn't sync.

From Evernote: We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. You may still be able to access your notes using the Evernote desktop or mobile app, but you will be unable to sync or share your notes until service is restored.

Thanks for that tip.  Actually I have tried that before and have just figured out why it never worked.  Apparently you need to add the date in the European format ie: 2022/11/03.  I never realized that and tried it a bunch of times with the usual U.S formats eg: 11/3/2022  which didn't work.  I actually just confirmed this again by trying it both ways.  In the second way the reminder is recorded but there is no date assigned to it.  Also, I assume when using this technique you need to forward the email to Evernote and not use the Gmail add-on (which is my preferred method).  The Gmail add-on does not have a subject line:

I too prefer to use my email client add-on (Spark) but this method does require a subject line.

It has been 10 months since the last post on this subject.  So is there a way to assign a task directly at the gmail level yet?  Would be great to send certain emails directly into EN as tasks.  Actually, even adding a reminder would be a tremendous help.  For example, you get an email about a meeting to take place next week.  You route that email directly to EN with a task or reminder (or both).  This way you don't need to make a special trip to Calendar or EN just to reinforce it.

You've always been able to add reminders when you send an email into Evernote. You add an ! to the end of the subject line with the date specification.

https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314208-Add-a-reminder-through-email#:~:text=To set a reminder on,month%2C day separated by slashes.

  10. Here's what I do: I never add a task randomly outside of a note. I have a monthly note where all of my tasks go. So, for instance, now its' OCTOBER. (Then I have another larger Brain Dump one in which things are not time sensitive and I don't worry about due dates on it. )

Within that note I have delineations:

    Personal
    Business
    Errands
    Phone calls
    Waiting for response

And I'm always careful to add new tasks at the top of those sections.

In order to sort by date, I will use the TASKS sidebar.
