About Mattoid

  1. I searched for help on the same issue yesterday and found this - I'd enabled Web clipping keyboard shortcuts but, as the OP says, the shortcut to start the clipper (`) doesn't work. However, I've just solved this by realising that the (`) key (which is located in the top left hand corner of most UK keyboards, to the left of the 1 key) is not the correct trigger - it's the (') key (single quotation, on the mid-right of a UK keyboard). To some, this may seem like a stupid error on my and the OP's behalf, but it's actually very frustrating to keep trying what Evernote says is the correct trigger, only to find out the key they want you to press is completely different!
  2. Since the update, I can still send individual Outlook emails to Evernote via the 'Save to Evernote' button, but selecting multiple emails ghosts out the button. The main reason I installed Evernote for Outlook is so I could send multiple emails at a time to a specific notebook that I use for organising my work: being limited to one email at a time is a huge frustration: I want to be able to clear my inbox quickly by sending all task-related stuff to Evernote, and sending each individually has massively increased the number of clicks I need to perform that function: rather than highlighting 10 emails at a time, for example, adding any additional tags relevant to that group, and clicking Send, I now have to repeat the same process 10 times, making it 10 times slower! Why? And will this be fixed? Or am I just missing something? By the way, as this is a work computer, I can't use any solutions that involve changing the registry.
  3. Thanks - have tried rejigging the order, but unfortunately to no effect... adding a digit before a working tag makes it cease to work. Very frustrating, I use numbers to help organise my tags .... I guess I'll have to change them all *AGAIN*
  4. Apologies for bringing up an old topic, but I have the same issue as the original poster and the advice here still hasn't fixed the problem. I'm using my Outlook client as I'm finding it annoying in Evernote for Window to have to click 'New Note' (or use Ctrl-N), then click again to move the cursor to the Title. As I use Evernote as a place to capture all my ToDos, I generally just use the Title line and add any notes to the body (rare). So I've set up an Outlook Quick Step to send a New email to my m.evernote.com address with the following in the subject line: "Title @Fresh !20150101 #4work" The hashtag '4work' already exists, 'Fresh' is the existing notebook I collect any new tasks, and I can amend the title and reminder date as I see fit. It's easier to add notes this way as I then don't have to tag them as work-related tasks, just amend the title. The @notebook and !reminder are both working fine, but my hashtag #4work doesn't. I've just tested it with another hashtag and that DOES work - it doesn't start with a number, but I can't see why that would make any difference to Evernote recognising #4work as a tag, seeing as it only contains alphanumeric and they don't say you can't use numbers in your tags!! Any ideas?
