About aburnstorm

  1. Consistently, their responses do not address the actual structural demolition to their own app. They are trying to resolve why a single person is having a problem connecting a particular stylus. The response is so far below inadequate that it hurts to describe. Still looking for votes on best new app methods to replace evernote and penultimate. Lots of options I'm testing through, but need something for work tomorrow morning and not happy with any solution yet.
  2. If you actually read this thread, you'd notice that an Evernote employee, Joshua Taylor, has chimed in at least a half dozen times within the fits few pages. Take a deep breath, Chiming in to suggest that they are not looking at the resolution we are demanding. I have abandoned too. I am still on evernote forums to get ideas from other disaffected ex premium users as to what new system they are going to use to replace evernote and penultimate. The trust is 100% gone. Deep breaths won't help.
  3. Best part of this photo is that your picture would have to be made on paper since you sure couldn't do that quality on the new penultimate 6.
  4. One other option that works well is inkflow plus.
  5. I think evernote has sufficiently indicated they do not care. I've cancelled my evernote premium in outrage at this update. They don't care about customers or quality products, but they might care if their wallets get hurt. I encourage other paying users to quit as well and we might succeed at getting the old app back.
  6. Sorry, but I am reposting from the longer thread. Thought I would add it here as well since it is appropos. I just received this response from their support team. It proves they have not a single clue. The total lack of understanding is the proof I need to cancel my premium membership, which I have now done. Goodby evernote. I will never speak positive about you again for the way you destroyed all my carefully-written notesbooks without warning and showed not the slightest shade of actual customer support. How do I screenshot an entire app???? Just roll back to Penultimate 5, you morons. By "how handwriting could be" you meant how to make your app more in line with the cheap, crappy apps that are already flooded on the market? Bamboo so far shows promise, Inkflow Plus isn't bad, Noteability. Testing these at the moment, and while they don't have OCR tech and they don't sync automatically to evernote, at least I have more comfort that someone won't come along and totally ***** up every work note I made without any warning since at least they'll be in pdf and backed up separately. "I'm Joseph, and thank you so much for contacting me at Evernote customer support. I definitely want to help. Penultimate’s goal is to show how handwriting could be. And that means some big changes. You may read more on the release of Penultimate here: http://blog.evernote...-penultimate-6/ I would like to help with anything that doesn't work, so I would like to collect a bit more information. Could you let me know a bit more about the issue you are noticing with Zoom and Drift? Can you let me know the step take before noticing the issue? A screenshot of the areas that are causing an issue can also help. To take a screenshot on an iOS device, press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time. The screen will flash white and the screenshot will be saved to the Camera Roll in the Photos app. If you'd like to submit feedback about any design improvements, I can definitely pass them along to the correct team! We always welcome feedback and suggestions, because that is the best way to improve our product. Let me know if I can help clarify anything a bit more, and I look forward to your response!"

  8. Not just baby boomers. How many out there who write have you alienated. Darn it evernote. Those of us who are not boomers don't hate your new app because we 'don't get these new technologies'... We still know when a new tech sucks compared to the old one.
  9. Better yet, just admit this was a bad idea from the very ground up and roll back to the old version, which was superior in every single way.
  10. As a premium member, I have to say, I paid my dues to the evernote team precisely because I had at last found a way to create, read, sort, and edit my handwritten notes. The new penultimate is making me rethink my premium subscription. The fix will not come by 'going forward' but will really only be fixed by going back to the version I had two days ago. I will likely wait over the weekend and use another app in the meantime. After that, if they haven't fixed it, I'll just cancel my premium membership. On every count, the older version was better. The thumbnails, the single pages, the zoom feature, the scroll speed, the interface, the way that writing was captured, the pen responsiveness, the pen and erase features.... Even the new look shows off the cold soullessness that went into making this new version. Perhaps some recently fired Microsoft project managers landed in your office? We'll send them packing once more. And give us the option to roll back to the old version. The clock is ticking. Thanks evernote for the reminder that cloud updates can ruin all my historical notes by taking all the control out of my hands and giving it, apparently, to a group of people I should never have trusted in the first place. Likely this was the first in a long line of steps towards mediocrity. Edit: I should say that I have never commented before on any such evernote forum, but I was a loyal word of mouth proselytizer. Never again. I had to sign up just to tell you how fundamentally you screwed up with this.
