About martinz

  1. +1 for this feature. For me, pdfs in evernote are virtually useless without this because I am 90/10 android/desktop. So I scan to jpeg instead. (And incidentally the last update to the document camera overcompresses so much that doesn't work so well anymore either) Understand you don't provide eta's, but seriously, we are 3 years on now. What is the value of the statement that it's on the list? Just be honest and say you've no plans to do this.
  2. At least since the last couple of updates to the android app, the document camera is massively overcompressing images. An 8M image of an A4 handwritten note gets compressed to a 50k image, which, at least with my poor handwriting, is harder to read than it need be. Anyone else noticed this? Any workarounds or third party alternatives?
  3. Big differences, especially since the last evernote update, on android at least. Camscanner produces better images. Cleaner and sharper. In the last update evernote has turned the image compression up to a ridiculous extent. An 8M image of a handwritten a4 page is compressed to a 50k jpeg, which has horrible compression artefacts. Really stupid decision - can't understand why there aren't more complaints. But camscanner produces pdfs so you actually have to open them to read your note. Also for handwritten notes, evernote ocr works much better. These two are show stoppers for me, so I have to put up with evernote.
