  1. Frankly, after complaining for years about the complete disaster that the old Evernote became and the developers tone-deaf and dismissive responses to those complaints, I welcome a new, simpler version. And yes, I'm missing many features I used to use, and so I thought about migrating to a new app, but here's the thing: I haven't found an app with all the features I'm missing, so whether I move to a new app or stick with the new Evernote, I'm losing features and making changes to my workflow. Since that's the case, I'm sticking with the new Evernote. Updates are being pushed regularly anyway a
  2. I'm so glad to see that the focus will finally be on fixing the app instead of mindlessly adding features nobody asked for. It's about freakin' time. As a long-time paying customer, I have been waiting for this day for years.
  3. I just tried this out and it works brilliantly. Thank you. And a youtube video would be awesome.
  4. Additional bugs to report: Strange copy & paste behaviour "&" becomes "&" Cursor jumps to a random spot in a note when doing things like deleting a line or a code block. Just a reminder. Old bugs still needing a fix: The unnecessary and intrusive table UI, which isn't even consistent between platforms and adds unnecessary spaces, NEEDS TO GO. Tables with "match note width" do not retain note width when resizing the note window.
  5. It would be helpful if, when changing a note's notebook, the view would stay on the note itself. Instead, I'm kicked into the next note in the current notebook and I have to go searching for the note I was just editing in the notebook I moved it to.
  6. Guys, I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and I'm noticing that the app is extremely laggy when accessing the side menu. It seems any animation is not handled very well at. No other app seems to have this issue.
  7. Some funky behaviour is occurring when cutting text. When I cut some text out of a line that was set to 14pt font, the remaining line's font size was increased to 18pt. Also, this beta is not playing nicely with the current Android version. when I view notes on Android, and then back on the Mac app, the font sizes get messed up.
  8. The app is not quitting for me. I have to force quit every time. Also, zooming in with Cmd+ on Mac is making the actual font bigger in Android version. If I make an edit on Android, leave the note and return, the text goes back to normal, but then if I look at the Mac app again, some of the text has randomly been increased in size to 16pt.
  9. "Match Note Width" It would be preferable to set tables to fit the window width and resize with it. It's very annoying to have to horizontal scroll whenever I make the window smaller. Table Margins Tables seem to have a built in margin at top and bottom, but this margin does not exist on Evernote for Android, so notes with text and tables display inconsistently.
  10. Thanks, Johnathan. The beta I'm currently using has fixed the problem for now. I look forward to seeing what you guys do with the Mac app in the near future.
  11. Are you guys ever going to address the formatting issues in Presentation Mode, or should I stop holding my breath? Look at the screenshot attached. Anything in a table ends up with unpredictable margins and text styling is completely random. Presentation Mode would be a quick and beautiful way to share a note during a meeting if it actually worked properly. Also, are tag folders coming? More powerful table formatting options?
  12. Thank you, JMichaelTX, for the reply. The 6.11.1 beta seems to have fixed this issue. You helped Evernote save a paying customer... for now. I really hope that in the next release we will start to see some real change. I used to be such an advocate for Evernote that some of my coworkers asked if I wanted to work for them, but the disappointing updates are quickly busting that loyalty. Cheers.
  13. This beta fixed many of the formatting issues. It also allows tables copied from MS Word to retain their formatting when pasted into a note. It's unbelievable to me that these problems made it to a production release. As soon as 6.11 messed up all my notes, I spent several disappointing hours deciding on OneNote as a replacement and setting it up with all my Evernote content. I mean, 6.11 is just another sign of the lack of attention Evernote developers seem to have these days. Evernote for Mac is a buggy mess and has been for a long time. This beta saved you a paying customer for now, bu
  14. I've been a loyal Evernote user for years. I pay the premium price because it was once worthwhile, but things aren't looking good for Evernote. The app has been buggy and bloated for a while now, and there is no sign of improvement. The latest update no longer allows contents of the clipboard to retain formatting when pasted into a note; this is the last straw for me. My workflow of pasting tables containing source code which had been formatted in MS Word is now useless. Every update brings a new surprise, this one lost you another customer.
  15. This looks really good! Really clean design too from the looks of it. Well done, but I always prefer not to submit my login credentials to a third party site. Would you be willing to share the code?
  16. It would be great if we could choose how a code block is formatted (i.e. font, background color, etc.) Just saying'...
  17. You could just use the web client. I think limiting free users like this is only fair, and the web client doesn't count toward your limit. With the recent price increases though, I hope the Evernote team will fix a lot of the issues that have been plaguing us all and give us the features we've been requesting for years. Time will tell.
