About tranquilo

  1. Bug: attachment (can't) rename bug from 5.7.1 still present in 6.0.1
  2. Can no longer rename note attachments. Specifically SSEE scanned documents, but any. Option is grayed out :/ *Edit: going into the note text field and entering a carriage return ahead of the attachment allows temporary access to the rename function. It grays back out when changing the focus (have to edit the note to get the option back again).
  3. Undo is not something I've had need to use very often on iOS so I'm not sure if the behavior is any different than it would be elsewhere beyond EN. Apparently it is also a bit temperamental in deciding when an undo is available/applicable. Having a 'cancel' function when opening/editing an existing note, however, would have completely alleviated the problem in this case.
  4. Yes, indeed this would be the 'standard' behavior I was describing... Having said that I just tested with a new note and the undo dialogue did appear as expected. Odd that it did not at the time I needed it. Though as a side note note it only restores one character at a time and would have required a lot of shaking and tapping to backtrack to the point where the document overwrite occurred (I didn't notice it had been removed until I finished typing). Apart from whatever glitch (iOS?) that prevented undo from functioning that particular time, it still leaves the cancel function on the table.
  5. Perhaps I'm missing how to do these very basic standard functions but for the life of me I can't seem to accomplish them. It seems that as you open/edit a note any changes you make (intentional or inadvertent) are immediate and permanent. The only way to 'undo' said changes is to, if you're lucky, go into the desktop client (or web client via desktop?) and pray that there is a semi-current 'version' you can restore (which, I'm finding, does NOT preserve tags)?? I was adding text to an existing note containing a PDF and for some reason the attachment got 'overwritten' as if it had somehow gotten 'selected' and typed over as I was merely typing away. Poof! Document gone! No way to undo the (erroneous bug) edit nor simply cancel the edit session thereby leaving the note as it was. Nothing. Gone. I find it difficult to believe and accept that something so simple has been omitted. Is it possible to have this basic/universal functionality included/restored to the app?
  6. I found that the setup through the ScanSnap Manager settings menu didn't really set things up properly (password issues I'm guessing). Try going to Applications -> ScanSnap Evernote Edition -> Sub -> "ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool for Evernote Edition" and use that to set up wireless. I've not had a problem with it since doing it that way. Edit: Forgot to address the second part of your query. On rare occasion I've had the ScanSnap Manager get lost. Try turning off the scanner (close the top lid), unplugging the USB from the computer, quit the SSM (click on it's menu bar icon, cog wheel, quit), relaunch SSM, plug scanner back into USB, turn on scanner. Sorry if that's a bit obvious or you've tried already, just covering all the bases
  7. That's a bit odd. Are the pages duplex and printed out of order (i.e. 6 page doc where page one has page 6 on the back, 2 with 5, 3 with 4?) In either case just double click on the PDF icon in the note to open it up in Preview (assuming you haven't changed the default app), click on the drop down menu on the top left and select 'Thumbnails', and with those you can easily drag n drop to change the order, rotate or delete pages as desired. Simply close the window when done and your changes will be reflected in Evernote. Though be aware it will change the name of the PDF attachment to whatever the random temporary file name was (bug?).
  8. Anyone have a SSEE and tried it with this beta? Beta 3 would crash on scan import for anything other than documents then hang on restart until the import folder was cleared
