I would upgrade to the new version but I still haven’t found a way to move local notebooks without loosening metadata. The EN recommended procedure looses all the creation dates. If I could solve that I would move.

Does anyone know how to upgrade from legacy to new EN without loosing all the original creation date data for each note? That’s why I’m stuck in legacy. I wasn’t clear about my problem. I’ll try again: The problem is exporting LOCAL notebooks and importing them to new EN. The original creation date data is lost in this process. The legacy notebooks that were on the server can be accessed from both versions without problem.

I would be willing to move to the new version of EN, but there does not appear to be a sensible upgrade path. Exporting from the old version and importing to the new EN looses all the creation dates. This is a mess
