Ok - I got it working after several tries with a combination of 

- exporting notebooks in 300MB slices (300MB was the lowest I could set)
- but still my Inbox notebook couldn't be exported at all - here I could not set the slices - only a never ending spinner was shown

- I tried then https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup - and with that python script I got all my notebooks exported

I have a few notebooks I like to export (ENEX-Format). This was ok for two notebooks but for the other notebooks I always get this error at the end 😐

What can I do to get these notebook(s) exported?

@agsteele What exactly should I edit/add to the C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Evernote\config.json file to have more than 100 as limit?

Ok, so the easiest thing for me now is to 're-phrase' my important notes by sorting all notes alphab. (so the notes starting with "(!!!*" are at the beginning) and then add a special tag to all those important notes for example.

I'm using the windows app and I marked several for me important notes with a (!!!!) prefix in the title e.g. "(!!!!) My note title".

Now I want to search all my notes after these (!!!!) in the title but everything I've tried I don't get my notes listed in the search results.

I thought "intitle:(!!!!)" should be the correct search phrase but this lists nothing as search result.

I'll migrate to 100% LINUX next year and that will be the moment in time, when I'll have to say goodbye to Evernote if nothing happens. A pity, the company's management seems to try to learn it the hard way, how to loose loyal and paying customers and loosing them for good.

What will you use as alternative on LINUX next year?

There may be some issues but it's kinda cool.

I'm not that familiar with docker so can you please write a bit more about this? What's the difference to running/installing win evernote client with wine and so on? Thanks

The downside with Everpad is you don't have any stacked notebooks/tags. Everything is listed among each other and that is really "not usable" for me (I'm using the thesecretweapon approach with many (sub)tags). So I (have to) stay with nixnote/nevernote on my linux pc's (and the web interface).
