This is essential to implement GTD project management. I would like to use Evernote tasks but using another app until this is available.
I would add that having a tasks widget that is filterable is also a must as a widget with a dump of thousands of tasks is essentially useless.

- Recurring tasks should be a no brainer for any tasks app
- The power of Evernote is tags but tasks don't benefit from this power if you can't add tags to individual tasks. For example, without this ability implementing GTD is really clumsy as you ideally need a task to exist in both a project and, say, an action list.

When you follow a link to a note it always open the whole notebook.

Hi guys,
Just a quick query, I know you can create Note Links, but is there any way or if not any plans to allow Notebook links. Let me explain
Our EN structure is a Notebook for each project/lead (I know the arguments about Notebooks vs Tags but it works for us ). In each notebook there is a Main Project/Lead note listing all the details of the projects/lead.
We also have a Master Note that lists all the projects, leads etc and it is like an index so we can see at a glance where we are up to.
At the moment in the Master Note, we have note links to the Main project/lead note, but it would be great if we could link to the Notebook not just to the Main Note, so that when we clicked on it it goes straight to the notebook.
I hope this makes sense
Thanks in advance,
Debbie
There is a really simple answer to this. Create a blank note in the notebook that you want to link to. Give it the same name as the notebook. Use the link to that note in your sidebar.
Need ability to add tags to tasks

I disagree here because the implementation using notes tend to be hard work, requiring a lot of manual steps that slow down the process. Also, it's not just about GTD, which is why most stand alone task apps include tagging. An example of another use scenario is something I'm doing right now; I am wondering whether it's worthwhile employing an additional staff member and so I'm tagging all of the tasks that could realistically be delegated to them. There are multiple situations where tagging helps to automate project management and it is a pretty standard feature.
