YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!  Evernote coder: yeah, let's take away control from the user. Yeah, we know what they need and when they need it. Stupid users, what do they know?

I really hate the auto sync. I used to play around with notes and formatting and such and then decide if I wanted to sync it back or not. Now that option has been removed from my control.

They also decided that I should no longer have control over where check boxes are inserted and my control over indentation.

I am liking Evernote, less and less with each new release, to the point of looking for a replacement

I really hate what you have done to my lists. This is what I primarily use evernote for. My experience with this product has been heavily degraded.

1. I used to be able to insert a checkbox wherever I wanted. Now it appears that the only way is to make the item a check list
2. when I make a line into a checklist it auto indents it and there is no way to realign to left edge

I did not realize I had hit a check box on a note, on my phone, and did not sync it.

I modified the note on my PC. Then of course I got a conflict on the phone.

On the PC, it then showed 3 copies of the note, the one I was editing (I hate the auto sync on PCs! I really do) and 2 others. So I deleted (on the PC) the two duplicates.

That is when I got back on the PC and saw that there was a conflict. But on the phone, now, I cannot resolve it. when I select the note I get the note conflict popup. If I hit View the original note I get a Note Edit Error popup. I hit ok on that and I am back to the Note conflict. I hit the x on that and now I have a banner across the bottom with

NOT NOW    VIEW THE ORIGINAL NOTE

that I cannot get rid of.

I ended up copying the content to a new note and moving the old one to trash.

It is a good thing I had my PC handy because that is a pain to do on the phone.

The notes content in miniature are visible in the card view

The notes content are present on the web.

Re-starting the program does not resolve the problem.

In Help menu, choosing "about Evernote" yields a popup with no content.

 

 

I have the same exact symptoms. I can no longer use Evernote, for ANYTHING on my PC. Fortunately I have not updated my laptop and will definitely not. My Android devices are working. The web app works so that is how I am editing notes on my PC now. At least I have that workaround.

PLEASE FIX THIS!! Put this ahead of adding new features OK?

My wife has all kinds of issues with her iPhone. We thought a new iPhone would solve the issue but her brand new one has issies as well. So now she prints out her grocery lists before heading to the store. She doesn't trust the App anymore. Sometimes when she brings up notes on her iPhone they get corrupted. Ugh!!

Anyone know of a more stable alternative?
