  1. Just wanted to say that I'm not sure if Evernote fixed something or if it just resolved itself, but Legacy is syncing for me this morning. Yay!
  2. Still getting similar error messages: 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] AutoUpdate: checking for update at: https://update.evernote.com/public/ENWin6/update.xml 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] Received status code 200 when accessing URL https://update.evernote.com/public/ENWin6/update.xml 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] AutoUpdate: located update with revision 398256 (local revision is 309348) 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] AutoUpdate: checking for update at: https://update.evernote.com/prerelease/ENWin6/update.xml 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] Received status code 200 when accessing URL https://update.evernote.com/prerelease/ENWin6/update.xml 13:00:40 [INFO ] [3112] [4348] AutoUpdate: located update with revision 398256 (local revision is 309348) 13:05:35 [INFO ] [3112] [984] Client synchronization started 13:05:35 [INFO ] [3112] [20056] 0% Loaded updateCount: 131883 13:05:35 [ERROR ] [3112] [20056] 0% HTTP request failed, code: 403, error: Forbidden 13:05:35 [INFO ] [3112] [984] Client synchronization finished, status: failed
  3. After some poking around, I was able to get it by following the directions at https://www.reddit.com/r/Evernote/comments/s0ydos/if_you_still_use_evernote_6x_win_desktop_theres/ Unfortunately, that did not solve my syncing issues.
  4. Looking at something on a different thread, I think my problem may be that I'm not on v6.25.3, but a slightly older version. Does anyone know if there is still a place to download a copy of v6.25.3?
  5. I guess maybe posting all the steps from the activity log rather than just the end result might be more helpful. I wonder if it might just be something about my set up/account. 10:38:07 [INFO ] [14924] [8880] Client synchronization started 10:38:07 [INFO ] [14924] [10260] 0% Loaded updateCount: 131883 10:38:07 [ERROR ] [14924] [22232] Unable to load note: uid=88291 10:38:07 [ERROR ] [14924] [10260] 0% HTTP request failed, code: 403, error: Forbidden 10:38:07 [INFO ] [14924] [8880] Client synchronization finished, status: failed 10:38:07 [ERROR ] [14924] [8880] * error: Sync failed due to unexpected problem server side
  6. The error message seems to be "[ERROR ] [14924] [32560] * error: Sync failed due to unexpected problem server side"
  7. I have Legacy on one computer and the current version on another. The Legacy version has the red banner at the top saying that it will go away on March 20. However, as of midday yesterday, it stopped syncing. There is no error message. In my account, it says the device is still linked. I tried to open a ticket, but all I can get it to do is send me canned answers. I know I have to give up, but I much prefer Legacy and was planning to keep adding all my new notes that way as long as possible.
  8. Thanks. Unfortunately, Shift+Ctrl+V also seems to get rid of all the hyperlinks and formatting that I would prefer to keep. And I found it difficult to work with that box thing that the web clipper puts around everything. I also tried ctrl-alt-v, but for some reason that mostly just does nothing for me.
  9. I have been a long-time satisfied legacy user since 2011 and am struggling with the transition. I use Evernote only on Windows desktop/laptop and have been a heavy user of WIN-A (which I think I may have remapped to WIN-SHIFT-A at some point) to move things into Evernote. I see that this is not supported in the new Evernote. I have tried various alternatives, but have been unable to find anything satisfactory. Although it is less convenient, I thought I could get CTRL-C plus CTRL-N plus some variation on CTRL-V to work. However, I am hitting a brick wall with the way that it is treating new line characters. If I try to keep any sort of formatting, it seems to want to close up all the linebreaks like so: Matthew Perry, who portrayed Chandler Bing in the acclaimed sitcom “Friends,” has died. He was 54. The death was confirmed by Capt. Scot Williams of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide division. He said the cause of death was not likely to be determined for some time, but there was no indication of foul play. Mr. Perry was well known to American television audiences, featuring in over 200 episodes in all 10 seasons of “Friends,” the hit NBC show that followed a group of young professionals living in Manhattan. Whereas previously it came through by default like the following, which was much more readable: Matthew Perry, who portrayed Chandler Bing in the acclaimed sitcom “Friends,” has died. Does anyone have any idea how to control this or how to fix it? The other drawback of pasting in the new Evernote is that if I am copying from a website, it doesn’t automatically adds the URL in the note info and it’s less convenient to get to the place where you can add that manually. Thank you!
