If it does what it does locally I think I might have persuaded AppleScript to take each selected Mail message, extract the MailTags keywords and send a formatted email to Evernote such that the content and tags are added to the user's default notebook which is then synced with the Evernote app.

No doubt I'll find out if it doesn't!
At least it's a step to having a uniform set of tags across everything.
