Work Chat Notification Badge on iOS app doesn't appear

Hi,

 

I'm totally new to the forum so please bear with me.

 

In the FAQ it says:

 

How am I notified of new chat messages?

If you have Evernote open and logged in, a notification pops up on your screen. You’ll also see a number counter appear or increase each time you receive a new chat. If you’re not logged in, you’ll need to do so before you can view a chat. If your mobile device supports push notifications, you will get a push notification when you receive a new chat message.

My question:

Does the above in bold mean every time a new Work Chat message is received or every time a new Work Chat session is started?

 

I hope it's the former, not the latter.

 

If it is the former:

On my Iphone 6 Plus with the latest Evernote installed (V7.7.11) I don't get a number counter change every time a new work chat message is received. Is there any reason for this?

 

If it is the latter:

Will Evernote update to enable new message counter badge? If yes, when please? If not, I might have to go for a different solution - which I don't really want to, as Evernote has been working for me so far.
