iPad Mini and editing Evernote To Do Lists

Recommended Posts

I use my iPad Mini to take to meetings etc... I would like to use it to add things to my To Do list but have found that when working with lists in Evernote the functionality of the iPad mini keyboard does not allow me to add a square box for a new list entry and then to move to the appropriate space to add text.  The cursor remains in the square box of the list and I have found no way to move out of the square box (where you check as a completed task) and be able to enter text.  Is there something I am missing?

I have found the keyboard icon but there is no Tab key.  Maybe there are shortcut keys I can use to enable this.
