Bulleted or Numbered Lists from pasted text

If I paste in text on new lines such as:

 

test1

test2

test3

 

And I then highlight that text and use the bulleted or numbered list formatting, it only numbers or bullets the first item. I've tried pasting in text with both windows and unix style line endings. Both behave the same. However, doing the same exercise in this forum post editor behaves properly.

 

I am using Chrome on Windows 7 x64.
