(Archived) Items not deleting, ghost tags, and server error when syncing

EDIT: after deleting the Evernote file from the computer, restarting and reinstall, I deleted the errant tags and got the desktop version working again!

 

Hi! I have been having trouble syncing with my Windows 7 client today. I first noticed it when I had three blank tags that had no name, that did not exist on the online version. I tried deleting them, or deleting anything for that matter, and nothing would happen. Then I randomly renamed one of the tags to 156. Tried re- installing the program, and I am having the same issues. I have been looking around on the forums, but given that I can't see anything being deleted on the client, I do not know what to do!
