(Archived) The ability to associate a place from contacts or google maps with each item

Using the phone's location services to notify me when I am with say 2 miles of a source for an item on a list. Which mean I have the ability to associate a location for each item in a shopping list. This would save me lots of gas and time if I knew a needed item was nearby. My favorite locations can be color coded. I really don't understand why I need to know where I created my list more than I need to know where to get the items on my list from. I would prefer this notification to be the same as an incomimg call.
