(Archived) Evernote should lock until sync upon starting client

A lot of times I open the Evernote client for Windows and try to edit a note. Then it starts syncing and I end up with conflicting changes, or worse, sometimes it even overwrites the old version with my changes, losing everything that was done in between. So as a simple solution, wouldn't it make sense to lock the notes upon starting the client until the initial sync finishes?
