(Archived) Notes received from email do not preserve multi-level bullet formatting

Hi, this issue is driving me mad. Each time I sent a nicely formatted discussion notes from Gmail to my Evernote email, the received note is flat with just a single level of bullets. Moreover there are some strange gaps in places when the original indentation was changed. I am really considering just copy-pasting all my emails into evernote by hand because of this.

Anyway, can someone other confirm if this happens only with gmail multi-level bullets or with another email clients as well?

Hmm, apparently the behavior is quite consistent with copy-paste into web client -- it looks good when pasted but once it is saved the list is flattened
