(Archived) Skitch phoning home at app launch?

Hi,

It's been recommended that I install Skitch on some student laptops (iBooks, MacBooks) primarily as a way to easily manipulate images.

The problem I am having is that it throws an SSL error at launch and will not advance unless we fully authenticate to our web proxy server. Generally, the kids won't authenticate unless they are surfing or doing other Internet activities.

In other words, how can I prevent Skitch from phoning home at launch just so we can use the thing without an active Internet connection?

Correction...looks like I can use it once I have launched it but I still get the SSL error.
