Lag in tag filters becoming effective on iOS

I first raised a ticket on this nine months ago, and gave up after a prolonged exchange of messages in which the matter was escalated and the ticket subsequently closed.
I have learned to live with a delay of a few hours (by visually looking for the tags in a list of recent notes) but I am currently still unable to see notes come up in a tagged list where I set the tag a day ago. So I have given up on the iOS versions as a serious tool for much beyond taking the initial notes. Perhaps BS will fix this one day. The improvements in the desktop version help make up for this.

If I understand your comment correctly, I am having the same or similar issue in the iPhone app. I organize all my notes with tags. Using just one of my tags as an example, the tag list shows note count of 26, which is correct. But when I do the actual tag search only 3 notes show up. WTH?

It may not be only iOS. Days ago I created a tag on my Mac. When I search by the tag I, the result shows there are 2 notes to which it applies, but then on my Mac and Android phone, I can not open the notes.

Yes @BarryTG This is exactly the issue. Tags ars so crucial but unreliable on iOS. I have set several this morning, but none are showing up yet. The delay seems to be getting worse (over a day). It varies, sometimes the tags work instantly. @KWC Yes, I have also seen it recently on Windows, but this is rare for me.

Sadly the improvement lasted only a few days and I am back to a lag of hours or a day. In the latest enactment of this bug, it is especially frustrating as the correct list of tagged notes shows up very quickly, but within a short time the recently tagged ones disappear from the list of notes with the tag. I am once again resorting to the table of contents method to get round this bug. Hopefully the improvements on the desktop versions will be reflected on mobile soon!
