Adding Sub-tasks

It would be helpful to be able to organize tasks with sub-tasks. Meaning create a large task such as Clean your house and the create indented tasks like: Clean Bedroom, Clean Kitchen, Clean Living Room. Cleaning is not what I would use the feature for but it is a clear example.

Example of what it would look like with dots in place of checkmarks:

  • Clean House
    • Clean Bedroom
    • Clean Kitchen
    • Clean Living Room

It is a basic misunderstanding that the tasks feature was created to put ToDo apps out of business.

Tasks were created to make notes actionable - not to manage tasks.

For me it is quite obvious that the task feature was developped to create a to do list. Why else all the option with date, time, etc.

If so then you might as well make it a proper todo list.

Well let's see what EN actually say about tasks:

You can interpret this as you like, but personally  I think the integration of tasks and information (notes) is key. This is what makes EN tasks different from a traditional task manager. It is possible to set tasks up to mimic a traditional task manager but in so doing you will be in danger of losing the real strength of EN tasks. I've made the change from Todoist to EN tasks. Routine one off and repeating tasks sit in a note of just tasks. Everything else sits in project notes with the information needed to complete the tasks.
