Ability to add extra information to a task

Often I want to add extra information to a task to make clear what it is about and and write down some status info or remarks. Also it keep the task name it self nice and short. 
 

Is it possible to make a additional field to a task to store a note to it?

Because a task exists in a note you can add as much other information as you like to the containing note. Not quite what you want, but it might help in the meantime,

Yes this is correct and for small projects this is great. This is why I like this feature. Still I think for simpel tasks a extra note field would be a helpful. Hopefully something for te future.

I would also like this feature -- the ability to add notes within a task -- and the ability to create subtasks, or even a checklist within the task itself.

It would be so helpful for there to be a notes field when you open a task...that way you could insert doc links and other task specific information and guidance...seems like an easy add?  Please consider it!  Thanks
