I can never read the pop-ups for a new version

When I am asked for updates I can sometimes not see the button, and I definitely can't read the message.

I am attaching a whole pop-up window as an example. This is 10.40.9 ... but that's all the information I can gather. Thankfully there's an 'X' to close the window.

But it looks like there were release notes that I would have very much enjoyed... Resizing doesn't seem to work.
