Glitchy when typing a note

I can see the note preview on andoid phone. When I edit the note the text disappears. Then every time I enter a letter the text flashes on and disappears again. If I tap on the text it appears as normal. As soon as I start typing it starts to glitch.

I am using Android 8.0.0 and it sounds like I am having the same issue. When I click on the text entry window of a note, the entire text window goes blank. I have to type blindly or dictate without being able to see what is being entered into the window. Sometimes the window flashes on and off, too. After I finish entering and hit the "return" arrow, the text suddenly appears in the window. I can still see the menus throughout this glitch.

Exactly like that. Ordered new phone online. This should solve the issue
