Help with accessing content Evernote 10.11

Hello.

All of a sudden, I have an overlay on my home screen that is telling me that I need to upgrade to continue using Evernote on my device. I have Evernote basic and everything is locked up. I cannot even see my options without the screen reverting to the upgrade notice. This is seriously getting on my nerves? Any thoughts? Remedies would be very welcome. In the community since 2015 and would probably upgrade to the latest version but am not buying into premium version. It will not allow me to stay with my current plan or do anything else.
