Scratch pad on MacOS removes notes without reason

DO NOT USE the scratch pad on the above version of Evernote on MacOS. Your notes will disappear when

1. You open up a note and then go back to the home/dashboard

2. When you click on the "..." to bring up the menu and move your mouse around while the menu is open. 

I was so mad. I used to use Stickies to quickly save things like confirmation numbers or temporary passwords. I thought I would try the new scratch pad feature, as it'd be convenient to be able to save the information permanently as a note. It was VERY bad when my banking transaction confirmation numbers disappeared....
