Adding New Note - Shows blank note and not able to edit

Running version 10.5.7 on a Mac mini, running 10.15.7

Adding or editing a note, brings up a blank note and will does not allow me edit the note.  If I quit and reload Evernote, problem solved for a few notes, but returns.  VERY FRUSTRATING.   Makes the APP almost unusable.  Status on resolution?
