Can you disable key combination that opens Evernote Helper (Ctrl-Cmd-N) in MacOS?

The key combination that opens the Evernote Helper (Ctrl-Cmd-N) is the same key combination that creates a new note annotation in Preview. I use Preview (and note annotations) frequently, and now that I have the latest version of Evernote installed (10.5.7), I cannot use the key combination to create those notes. As far as I can tell, I can't change that key combination from within Evernote, and I see no way to do in System Preferences: Keyboard: Shortcuts. Suggestions?

Similar problem here. Ctrl-Cmd-N in TextMate creates new file which is a common thing. Is EverNote really taking over the whole system?
