Forcing Premium

I have Evernote synced on two devices. I sometimes log in via web on other devices. The functionality wasn't quite as nice but it got the job done. I went to log in via web and was informed I must upgrade to do so. Since when?! So now you want me to pay $80 US a year to have access to my notes via web browser. ARE. YOU. SERIOUS?? That is preposterous. Ridiculous. Y'all can bamboozle someone else, I'll take my notetaking activities elsewhere.
