tab indenting donked up

all of a sudden, trying to indent a paragraph with tap indents the whole paragraph and i hate it and want it to stop, how do i make it work the way its bleeding supposed to?

Yes, it's doing the same to me.  It was working fine not to long ago, seems to be an update that made it wonky, or is there a setting that changed that I need to adjust?  The first line paragraph tabs are really important to me to have regardless of the indent.  Anyone else seeing this?
