Content within Notebook Entries Disappear During Sync from iOS

it's become a frequent experience that content entered into pre-existing individual notes while using Evernote iOS (10.1) no longer gets sync'd properly and often disappears within an hour, especially if i have my MacOS version (10.1.7) open at the same time (though not necessarily using it).

is this a known-issue and are there resolutions or work-arounds available?

it's really annoying as it means i can't trust the iOS app - some content survives the sync, others do not.
