iOS Ongoing note deletion problem - V 10.1

I think this bug has been raised in other posts in various forms, but I am unable to delete notes out of my default notebook. Attempting to delete a note causes the app to lock up requiring closing and reopening. Even when the note appears to delete, it reappears again. The only way to solve the problem is to make another notebook default, delete the original default notebook and recreate it. It’s not a major issue but really annoying and worrying that it’s not been fixed yet. Any progress please?
