Search broke my Evernote

I'd opened, read, and edited notes in v. 10.2.4 build 1949, and that was all fine, but when I tried to do an "or" search on tags, it broke. I typed

 

tag:x OR tag:y

 

in the search bar, and since then (early yesterday afternoon), my laptop version of Evernote is completely unavailable. Since then, the search bar in the left panel has the word "or" in it, the two tags are in the center panel with outlines of three notes below (I think that there are three notes that have both tags), there's a floating blue box that says "Signed in as [my email]" with an x next to it (not clickable), and the right panel, where the notes themselves show, has a rotating green circle/processing icon. I've reinstalled the application to no avail. I can access all notes on the web and on my phone/tablet.

After some amount of time a window pops up that says "window is not responding" and gives me the option to keep waiting or relaunch. Relaunch gets me exactly the same result, as do the following: quitting; force quitting; quitting then rebooting; quitting, rebooting, uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling; and trying relaunch again.
