New note editor is a nightmare

I’m running into two issues that are making EN almost unusable.

#1- If I’m scrolling through a note in “read” mode, and see something I want to edit, I click on that word. In the past, it would open “edit” mode with the cursor at that word. Now it opens “edit” mode... but the cursor automatically goes to the bottom of the document every time. 

Thats annoying enough. But what’s worse is that if I scroll too fast while I search through the document trying to find the part I actually want to edit, I’ll slide the keyboard down, transitioning me out of edit mode and forcing me to start the process all over again. 

#2- I keep losing big chunks of writing. My best guess is this has something to do with the manual save in the upper left corner now (the checkmark) and how easy it is to exit “edit” mode without “saving” by simply swiping down. I can’t reliably replicate this issue but it’s happened repeatedly today and never happened before. It even seems like there are times where the text will appear to have been saved, I can view it in “read” mode, but when I come back minutes or hours later... it’s gone. 

it’s also way too easy to accidentally click “undo” right before you click save! They’re  literally right next to each other! 

I’m so frustrated I’m ready to end my subscription and move to another app. I’m blown away that something so basic hasn’t been fixed.
