Making SMath files view-able similar to PDF format would solve the problem of writing formulas, performing calculations, keeping track of units and other features familiar to Mathcad users. SMath is similar to Mathcad but simpler and free. It's also written by one guy, so probably wouldn't cost Evernote much to buy the rights to his code. SMath is the tool I use most frequently after Outlook, Evernote and Acrobat.
