Surface Pen Inkwell Bug

I am taking notes within an Ink Note and using a Surface Pen.
The Pen seems to stop writing without warning or indication, after a random amount of strokes are input (maybe 2 words, maybe 10)
I can temporarily restore note-taking capability by sleeping/un-sleeping my device, however the bug will repeat itself and can only be temporarily remedied by the same method again.

After computer restart, bug does not manifest at the moment.

 

I have been using Evernote for ink notes for months and have never had an issue.
This problem replicates itself using different modes (tablet, laptop, present).
No irregular usage when bug began manifesting.
