I recorded an important interview (using Evernote on my iPad, as I always do). It seemed to save fine to the note--again, as always. When I clicked the audio file icon, nothing happened. I clicked multiple times. I tried opening the file on my phone and on my laptop and the audio file wasn't there. Since the note had already auto-saved, I re-opened my iPad version of Evernote, refreshed the page and the audio file had disappeared completely. No indication that it had ever been there. No error message, just poof. I took a picture of the screen (because this has happened before) before refreshing the page. I have checked trash (annoyingly hard to find, but OK), etc.
