Copy/Paste Bullets from other apps

So if you copy/paste from other applications into a Note, you can not insert a new bullet above any pasted bullet. It creates an open space next to the newly created bullet where it LOOKS like you can take your cursor there and type. But you can't. Arrow down or navigate to the actual bullet that was created, it doesn't matter you can't get back to it. It seems like this showed up about 3-4 months ago? I was just patiently waiting thinking for sure it would be remedied, but alas I'm letting you know. 

I'm using Evernote on Mac, using version 7.4.
