New note in new window still focuses note in main window

If I select the "Create new note in a new window" the main window will still navigate to the new note (not immediately but as soon as I shift focus from title to body or vice versa after editing it). Is there any way of preventing it? It doesn't make much sense to open a new window if the note will be displayed in the main window anyways.
