I'm still using Evernote version 2.2 at both my home and office.
There is ONLY one reason that I've not moved to the new Evernote. The ability to link any note to any number of specific categories (could be called notebooks, now) is a MAJOR ease of use and functionality. I suppose they're using tags for the same goal, but they just can't work with more than a few tags; I would need a list of hundreds of tags. My evernote databases contain hundreds and hundreds of notes. Simplifying what I can do in 2.2 and not do in the new evernote could be represented by the image below. I can create a new note and by simply dragging it, link it to as many categories as i needed. I can quickly remove it from a category as well.
Oh how I wish they could implement this, we could really use access to our data on our mobile devices
